6/1/2026 Update:
On March 12, 2026, a driver crashed through the front of the shopping center where K9 Aquatic Center is located, shattering the glass storefront, driving through the lobby, two walls, and a metal door, and ultimately landing in the in-ground swimming pool. The incident left glass and auto/building debris scattered throughout the facility, including all five swimming pools.
We are currently still closed for construction, but are having difficulty navigating through the insurance and county permitting processes. My contractors are ready and waiting to complete the interior construction, but can’t move forward until the front of the building is replaced. The landlord applied for the permit 2 weeks ago, and I am anxious to hear of it being approved so that repairs can be completed and we can reopen. I really appreciate everyone’s patience and kind words of encouragement. I will post again once I have more news.
In the meantime, I have set up a GoFundMe page since all dog toys, balls, life vests, noodles, towels, shammies, staff clothing and wetsuits must be replaced to ensure the safety of our canine clients and staff members. It is impossible to guarantee that these items are 100% safe from embedded shards of glass without replacing all of them. Any help will be greatly appreciated so we can get back to the business of having our dogs safely swim as soon as possible.
